SPECIAL NOTES
Please note that barbecues must only be set up in the designated area – the brick walled pit below the picnic tables. Entrance is up the grass slope from the field, only through a locked gate, which you will be responsible for unlocking and locking and returning the key to the Booking Secretary
Use of the area is confined to those who are doing the cooking
FOOD SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT TO THOSE EATING
The area is on several levels and there are dangerous hidden obstacles,
including the air-raid shelter entrance which is unstable.
No bonfires should be set up here or anywhere in the field.
The hirer should bring in and remove their own equipment. Any residual ashes or charcoal should be taken out of the field when the event is over.
PLEASE DO NOT DUMP THE ASHES IN THE BUSHES or ELSEWHERE
The danger of fire is very great especially in drier weather
Please do not leave behind any bags of litter
Our resident foxes will tear them open and distribute the contents all over the field
The extra charge for a barbecue is £10
Children are NOT allowed in this area.
