REQUESTS FOR MEMORIAL TREES IN BAXTER’S FIELD.
So many requests have been made lately that it has been decided that only people with a close relationship to the development & maintenance of Baxter’s Field will be considered for trees planted in their memory. It should also be noted that trees are expensive to maintain over their life time and need watering in their early years. There is also not unlimited space in the field for more trees since we wish to keep as much open space as possible.
The field has many other opportunities for legacies, in memory of a person, to ensure its continual maintenance and development.
Legacy – give in memory
If the Baxter’s Field charity and its mission ‘to preserve Baxter’s Field as a public recreation ground and playing field in the interests of social welfare for the inhabitants of Lewes’ was important to a loved one, you may wish to donate to the charity in their memory. Your generosity and support would be greatly appreciated and your gift will help to secure the field, as a lasting tribute to a loved one, for future generations.
